Very Nice Upgrade from Older Model Kindle
I bought this to replace my old Kindle Paperwhite which was 8 years old. The overall size of the new Kindle is slightly larger but not enough to make it unwieldy as the weight between the two is the same. The screen is noticeably larger and the loading of books and moving through menus is significantly faster. It seems just as well made as my previous Kindle. Functionally, everything works the same.I did notice that the screen has a big range of adjustment on the warmth of the picture. It goes from almost white light to a heavy orangish warmth light. I liked the almost perfect white of my old Kindle and this one adjusts close to that but has a very slight reddish/orange tint, so it doesn't seem to go full white light like my old one. I prefer the pure white but that is a personal preference and if I didn't have my old one next to it, I might not notice the tint difference. The new Kindle appears to be more sensitive to page turns than my old Kindle. I've noticed I have to be a little more careful on page turns to not accidentally get my fingers on the screen. This is not a major deal and I am sure once I get used to the new Kindle, this will no longer be an issue. I just thought it worth mentiuoning.Overall, I am extremely pleased with the new Kindle with the larger screen and faster processor. I know most people don't hold onto their electronics for as long as I did, but I'm not out to impress anyone or try to keep up with the Joneses, so I tend to use an item for as long as it continues doing it's job. This is a great upgrade and I expect many years of service from my new Kindle.

Kindle paperwhite
I’m surprised how nice this E-reader is. I finally gave up my Samson nook tab 4 that I’ve had for years and it still works but time to move on. This e-reader is very easy to use and nice and light, the books load fast the light is nice I haven’t tried the dark mode for reading at night in bed but sure it will be good. Being an Amazon prime member makes it nice too have a lot of choices of free books. All my tablets and phone and watch are Apple so getting the kindle is new for me and I can use my phone and tablets for my prime books but I like using this E-reader better. I like the size it’s comfortable to hold and function is simple to use. Don’t wait as long as I did go and buy it😊

Perfect for this busy mom who wants to read more
I honestly was not sure if I would like this because I typically like to hold the physical copy of the book. But we’re having small children and going lots of different places during the summer. This has been an amazing tool to read more. I typically don’t read a lot because I’m so busy with my kids, but this is so easy to just work out at the pool or the park and camping and read a book. Also it’s amazing to make the font bigger and read a book on a treadmill. I’ve been reading about book a week since I got this on Mother’s Day. If you’re on the fence about getting it, do it! The three months of kindle unlimited has been amazing and the options are amazing. I use it for everything from self help, parenting books, scripture and bible study guides, and even kids books. My 9 year old really wants one now too!Positives: I love the customization of the display, it could use some more fonts but that’s just nit picky. I love the case that came with it but also got a simple plastic one when I want to mix it up. With as much as I read I still get at least a week or more on one charge. Dark mode is amazing in the theater when I don’t care for the movie my kids want to watch too.Negative: I really want the color version but it’s out of my price range. It sometimes glitches out when switching to the Amazon kids profile.

No regrets!
I didn't realize just how badly I needed an upgrade from my 10th Generation Kindle until I got this one! I have been in the mindset that my 10th gen I've had for 5 years has nothing wrong with it so why upgrade but when I decided to buy this one for Prime day and saw how much faster and responsive the screen is omg! It is a literal Game Changer seriously! And my favorite color is pink so I love how I was able to get it in my favorite color and got a glittery pink case to match as well. 10/10!! If you are on the fence about purchasing please just buy it because you won't regret it

Battery Life is Short
I do love this Kindle, but I bought it for the battery life so that I'm not draining my phone using the Kindle app. Unfortunately, the battery only lasts a little longer than my phone would while actively reading. Even in sleep mode, it drops 1-3% a day. I have a friend who recently got the basic Kindle, used it all weekend on our girls trip, took it on another trip where she did a lot of reading, & said she hadn't charged it in almost 2 months. It was still around 80%. I bought my husband the same Kindle Signature as me but in black & his is the same as mine with just a so so battery life. I will probably buy a basic model for backup since those seem to keep a much better charge. The size is great, the color is beautiful, the back light is amazing. I haven't tested it storage wise because I really don't have a large library yet. I just wish the charge lasted longer in general.
