Pretty decent bow for the price! Does need some improvement!
This bow worked well when we first got it. After several practice shots and trying to get it tuned in we had to replace the strings. This was my first bow. We had it sighted in but then it started to shoot every few shots were off. We were told the bearings in the cams needed replacing but it really just needed to be put in a bow press for the cams to be lined up correctly. It was relatively quick to have adjusted, we took it to cabelas they have a press on sight. It's not too heavy, but heavy enough you know it will work. Speed is super fast there is good force behind it. I would recommend this bow to anyone with a need for one! Just keep in mind you may need to have another set of strings or someone who can restring it for you after a between 4-6 weeks of having it. Also keep in mind that if it is your first bow do your own research because some places are out to get you for your money . The best thing you can do is just take it to the pros at places like bass pro or cabelas to be repaired. If you need new strings you should order from Amazon because they are hard to find the right brand at a low cost anywhere else. You can also pay cabela's to restring and tune your bow in. You do need the same brand of strings for this particular bow. Overall a pretty decent bow for the price. There is always room for improvements. If cams were a stronger material they may not have the give they had after a while. It was easily able to be corrected but just taking to someone who specializes in dealing with this type of bow. We more then likely would have had to have had it restrung anyways after how many times it was shot. Definitely a great price and we still came out better getting this for a lower cost and having it restrung then it cost for some bows out there. This is a great starter bow!

Outstanding Value and Quality for Beginners and Beyond!
As someone who shot Hoyt recurve bows for over 30 years, I was initially skeptical about trying a compound bow, especially one at the budget-friendly price of the Sanlida Dragon X8. But after reading positive reviews, I decided to give it a shot—and I’m so glad I did!The Dragon X8 far exceeded my expectations. The build quality is impressive, especially considering the $199 price tag. The bow comes with everything you need to start shooting, and all the components are solid and reliable. The sight, for example, performs much better than you’d expect for this price range, holding its own against higher-end models.Even as a complete beginner to compound archery, I was able to shoot with surprising accuracy right out of the box. The bow is smooth, forgiving, and feels great in the hand. It’s the perfect choice for anyone new to compound archery or looking for a quality bow without spending a fortune. To top it off, Sanlida’s customer support is exceptional—quick, helpful, and always ready to answer questions. This bow made me confident enough to eventually upgrade to their Hero 10 II, but I still recommend the Dragon X8 for its unbeatable value and performance.Whether you’re starting out or looking for a budget-friendly option, the Dragon X8 is a fantastic choice. Highly recommend!

Best budget compound bow!!
I'm new to shooting bow. Wasn't sure if I'd like it so I bought this bow on a recommendation from a friend. I bought it with the intentions that if I didn't like it I wasn't out a whole lotta money. Long story short, this bow is amazing for the price. Once dailed in, I had a shot group of 2 inches from 30 yds the first day. There are a few things you'll wanna/need to upgrade. First, the arrow rest isn't nothing to brag about. It's kinda cheap and flimsy. The wrist release is decent to start with, but eventually, you'll want better. You'll eventually want to upgrade the case to something with more protection. The sights look cheap, not real adjustable, but so far they're getting the job done. The arrows that come with the kit aren't the greatest, but good for learning/ practice. Upgrade them eventually. Lastly the bow strings are not the greatest, but keep them while you're learning and replace when needed. The only issue that I seen out of the box is the peep wasn't tied on good but that was an easy fix. Overall, this is probably the best budget bow on the market. I'm having a blast!!
