Beelink Mini PC, Mini S12 Pro Intel 12th Gen 4-Core N100(up to 3.4GHz), Mini Computer 16GB DDR4 RAM 500GB SSD, Desktop PC Dual HDMI 4K UHD/Gigabit Ethernet/WiFi6/BT5.2/HTPC

This thing is perfect for my needs - I shopped around on here for a solid ~60 days comparing different mini-PC brands and models, and their individual price points vs. features/compatibility. My needs were as follows:- < $200 in cost- minimum of N150 CPU- shipped with or can be upgraded to 32 GB RAM- M.2 NVMe Gen 3 minimum, with 2x M.2 slots, shipping with a minimum of 500 GB on at least one slot- must run Linux (Debian based distros) without causing any complications w/ the hardware- WiFi 6, BT 5.2- minimum of 4x USB 3.2 ports- ideally at least 1x USB-C port (this is the only attribute that this machine is lacking!)Immediately upon arrival, I installed a second M.2 NVMe @ 1 TB, and a few days later I upgraded the RAM, replacing the single stick of 16 GB DDR4 it shipped with, and installed a single 32 GB DDR4 - I believe this is more than the manufacturers max specs, but I did research this before doing so, just as I have with my other machines that have hardware upgrades beyond max specs.I left Windows 11 Pro that it shipped with on the 500 GB M.2, and then installed MX Linux 23.6 onto the secondary M.2 1 TB that I installed, and assigned the secondary M.2 running MX Linux to be the primary boot device..Everything works perfectly, without any problems whatsoever. Before the upgrade of the RAM from 16 to 32 GB, Windows 11 Pro felt snappy and responsive for most basic tasks, but heavy multitasking began to make things feel sluggish.However, when booting into MX Linux, this thing shreds.. Everything is extremely smooth, and super responsive, even when heavy multitasking, and this was before the upgrade of the RAM to 32 GB.. Basically, if you prefer to use Linux as your primary OS on bare metal, this thing feels much better in Linux vs. Windows, but that is to be expected.Video quality is good, no screen tearing or anything like that in Linux, but I have not tried installing any distro with a KDE Plasma desktop environment yet, which is where I would expect to experience anything suboptimal relating to the video.As for noise level, even with the fans dialed all the way up, it is barely audible.Overall, this thing is well worth the price, and I would highly recommend it to others: 5/5, A+

This has been the perfect replacement for running "Home Assistant." I had been using their "HA Green," but it is DOG slow when compiling code for ESPHome. This N150 isn't a record-setter, but it's fast enough. And the price is really reasonable. The HA Green is about the same price but has no Wi-Fi or Bluetooth.

This little computer packs a punch despite its small size! I bought it to replace my old Intel NUC mini PC from 2014, which ran well for over a decade. Right out of the box, it impressed me with its speed and performance.I didn’t care about the preinstalled Windows 11—I didn’t even bother setting it up. After confirming it booted fine, I went straight to installing Ubuntu Server. The process was seamless, with no need to hunt for drivers or troubleshoot. After the install, I added the latest Docker engine and easily launched a preconfigured container using Docker Compose. Testing Intel’s iGPU passthrough with my Plex server container was a highlight—it transcodes 1080p video in under a second over WiFi, outpacing a similar mini PC running an AMD Ryzen 7 2825U.The build quality is solid, and it’s so quiet you’d barely know it’s running, even when transcoding and streaming video. It comes with two PCIe slots for M.2 SSDs, leaving room for future storage upgrades, which is a big plus. My only gripe is the built-in NIC, which is limited to 1G. Considering that 2.5G and even 10G NICs are becoming more common and affordable these days, it feels a bit outdated. After receiving this one and having set it up already, I later found a similar model from GMKtec that included a 2.5G NIC. I could return it but I chose to stick with this one to avoid the hassle of returning it.If you’re looking for a fast, compact mini PC, this is a great option. Just keep an eye out for models with a 2.5G NIC if network speed is a priority for you!

Powerful little computer!

The Beelink S12 and S13 minis are excellent business class desktop computers.I installed Debian Trixie and was up and running in minutes. EVERYTHING worked perfectly with zero fiddling.I did some photoshopping with GIMP 3 and it was snappy and responsive. I did some transcoding and it was able to do a decent job but at about 1/5th the speed of a Beelink SER5 Ryzen. The machine was dead quiet the entire time.For under $200 it's a helluva deal.The S series are not gaming PC's or transcoding powerhouses... For that you need one of the SER series.One reviewer complained of a burned chip, and showed a picture of the brown lacquer used to insulate the WiFi antenna leads. Another reviewer said that Linux did not recognize his monitor, yet another says that his will not boot from USB... All I can say is that there are some unreliable reviewers out there. One complaint I do have is that the Beelink website says the S12 has TWO nvme slots - Well, the current run only have ONE. Also note that the S13, with the N150 CPU is only very slightly faster than the N100 - The difference is negligible. The N100 is noticeably faster than the N5095.

Once it sets up it runs fine. Streams video like a champ===II take this back. Until you see it takes a week of failed attempts at updating Windows, and then it it mRUNS AT 100% CPU when playing movies. All driver upates. these things are trash.They have some GARBAGE about 'send it back to us , and we 'may' refund your money 30 days'. This is a complete fricking RIP OFF

This computer is slick. It boots up very quickly. response and speed of execution is fast.Be aware that it might take 2-3 days to fully download and install necessary Windows updates. They appear to come in batches, and over those several days.I saw one message stating that my version of Windows 11 Pro had no more support. I panicked. On the next day, the latest Windows 11 Pro update arrived.
